I am working on a small Indie game at the moment. My role is basically lead artist on this project. My first responsibility is to create 3d assets for the game, the art style that has been defined for the game is a hand drawn semi realistic art style. The type of assets i create are environment and weapon with the occasional foray into characters.
My secondary responsibility is to train artists who are either straight out of university or interns and to help them improve their abilities to the quality that is needed to have a consistent and good looking art style.
My last responsibility is to set up an art pipeline that will help integrate new hires into the team and to have consistent art standards that will avoid time loss due to disorganization.
